The Big Four or the Four Nations refer to the four top Allied powers of World War and their leaders who met at the Paris Peace Conference in January 1919. The Big Four is also known as the Council of Four. It was composed of Georges Clemenceau of France, David Lloyd George of the United Kingdom, Vittorio Emanuele Orlando of Italy, and Woodrow Wilson of the United States.

The revolutionary government led by Mustafa Kemal (Atatürk) did not recognize this peace. Then Greece- When the Italian intervention failed, the Turkish government in Ankara signed the Treaty of Lausanne on July 24, 1923, keeping its main territory, but giving up Arab countries and many islands in the Mediterranean Sea. Due to the pressure of Western countries, the fate of the Mosul region was handed over to the League of Nations, and it was handed over to Iraq in 1926. The Paris peace conference did not bring peace to Europe. It was proved by the 2nd world war which broke out soon.
