I chose Sketchup because I think it would be interesting to be able to design your own amusement park or design a model and see it in 3D.
I will be creating a house that looks like our new home we just moved into. I will be adding features to it that we don't have right now.
I could see military using a program like this to design training facilities in the future.

I did not understand how to set up what the video was telling me to set up. I had to watch it a few times.
I have never used this before so I struggled to learn the process. At first my front door wasn't even attached to my house.
Every time I created a shape it would disappear or shift when I changed the view and I was very frustrated. Moving the screen around to find a good view was frustrating at times too. The person kept telling me to draw something then told me to delete it and make a new one. That was frustrating too.
Painted room with carpet, windows and a couch. Part 4 was the table. Close up version:
1. I really had a hard time making the component and grouping work. I am still unsure if I did it right every time.
2. Copying and moving the pieces of the table was difficult and it took me over an hour to do the legs.
3. Making the "follow me" parts move in the drawers and windows was frustrating because they would not look right and the mouse kept moving when I typed in my measurements.

This is the kitchen.
I chose to make a kitchen and livingroom first. I was going to make a bedroom and more but I needed to move on or I would not finish. Maybe I will come back and do this later. I liked this program because you can design it to be your own and look at it 3D close up like you are in it.
It is important to be exact when building shapes because one measurement off and your shape looks very off and can mess up the rest of the process.
These shapes took specific measurements so one part was not bigger than another if it needed to be a specific shape.

Second floor; hole 2 (par 2) hole 3 (par 3). This includes walkways, water on hole 2 and staircase to get to second floor. There is also a slide to get down if you don't want to take the steps.
I added Halloween pictures to the supply building and a pumpkin face pattern to my stairs. I also found a creepy Halloween tree to add. I added detail on the supply house too.
