Francisco Pizarro was born in the year 1475.

Since the Great Exploration happened many years ago, it is hard to get accurate information on birthdays. However it has been recorded that Francisco was born in the year 1475.

Discoveries

Pizarro joined a man named Alonso de Ojeda on a voyage to start a colony in south america. After that colony failed, They abandoned it to make a new one.

Pizarro befriended the new colony's leader. This man's name was Vasco de Nuñez de Balboa. These two men led a group across panama and eventually discovered the south sea.

During one of his conquests of Peru he found the Incan Empire

Pizarro and Ojeda sought out to South America to start a colony. Pizarro became leader of the colony when Ojeda left to get more supplies. Unfortunately, the colony San Sebastian, failed and they had to make a new colony.

Pizarro worked alongside the governor of Panama and was asked to arrest Balboa.

When Pedrarias,the governor of Panama, told Pizarro he could not continue exploring,Pizarro asked Emperor Carlos V if he could have his permission to continue on exploring.

Pizarro was made governor and captain general of the province New Castile.

Pizarro had a rival named Almargo. The two constantly fought until Pizarro had Almargo imprisoned and killed. A couple years later Almargo's men decided to avenge his death and stormed Pizarro's palace. Pizarro was killed on June 26, 1541.
