Helps with cardiovascular health

When playing basketball your heart rate increases which is great for your health. With that it also builds up endurance. doing this will make you more healthy and slowly start to prevent you from getting a stroke or heart disease.

Builds body strength

Playing basketball involves weight bearing which allows formation of a new bone tissue. Some examples of weight bearing are rebounding, defensives stance positions and shooting. This is great for your muceles.

Relieves stress

When you have a bad day, you can play a bit of basketball to get you focused back onto your learning. you will get a feeling of confidence when playing basketball, win or lose. Your mind will be refreshed and prepared for the day.

Helps Coordination skill

When playing basketball you develop a hand-eye coordination while dribbling. if you have hand-eye coordination it helps you do many things day to day, things such as: Typing, more athletism, fast reflexes and your eyes, hands and brain work better. When you rebound you develop a full body coordination. Having a full body coordination will help you in simple things such as: Climbing a ladder, facing natural obstacles and will give you enhanced agility around the body. There are many sports with hand-eye coordination required such as: Tennis, Golf, and Cricket. The sports with full body coordination are: Rugby, Soccer, Hockey, Footy and skiing. Though basketball is one of the few sports that require both: Swimming, Net-ball, Gymnastics, Volley-ball, Basketball and Badmington

In conclusion kids should play more basketball at this school. In that matter I will run a basketball club to improve this.
