In Charles' school they would mainly learn about Latin, he wasn't very good at it instead he was fascinated by nature. He loved beetles, and he even kept his own collection of them. But his dad wanted him to be a doctor so he tried it out.
In an attempt to appease his dad, Darwin whent to medical school. However he left in two years because he was bored by the lectures, and he could not stand watching surgery, (which was not done with pain killers at that time). After Darwin gave up on medical school, his father arranged for him to study to become a priest. In 1828, Darwin went to Cambridge University to study for priesthood, earning a bachelor of arts degree at Cambridge University in 1831.
Soon after, graduating from Cambridge, Darwin continued to learn about nature, such as rocks, fossils, animals, and plants. He became friends with two priest professors, geologist, Adam Sedgwick and botanist, John Henslow. Henslow helped Darwin by giving him the opportunity to fly the ''HMS Beagle.'' And whille Charles was on the Beagle Adam would communicate with Darwin to see what he has discovered. Charles would send rocks and fossils from South America back to Sedgwick, as well as descriptions of the geology of South America.
Note: A geologist is a person that studdies the Earth. And a botanist is someone who studdies plants.
His grandfather, Erasmus Darwin, was a very strong influence on Charles. Erasmus had his own thoughts about how species changed over time, these thoughts were shared with Charles Darwin which directed him down the path of evolution.
Alfred Russel Wallace did not exactly influence Charles Darwin, but rather he worked with him, and collaborated with Darwin on solidifying his Theory of Evolution through Natural Selection. In fact, Alfred Russel Wallace actually came up with the idea of natural selection by himself, but around the same time as Darwin.
Jean Baptiste Lamarck was a Botanist and Zoologist who was one of the first people who thought that humans evolved from a lower species through adaptations over time. (Like a girrafe.) His work inspired Darwin to have the idea of natural selection.
Charles was also a family man. Married to Emma Darwin, they had 10 kids! 6 sons and 4 daughters.

Ect.
Charles Darwin inspired me by showing me that the sky is the limit, because he accomplished many things in his lifetime.
