It has been scientifically proven that there are over 4,000 types of Lizards around the world, and it could be argued that the Galapagos Marine Iguana (Amblyrhynchus Cristatcus) is the most famous and most mesmorising of them all due to it's clever adaptations.

Multed scales which changes colors,blue and green during mating season; a row of jagged spikes across it's scaley body and it's piercing eyes : these are the atributes of the distuinguishing Galapagos Marine Iguana.Another impeccable characteristic is their sharp claws, which allows them to graze on algae.This remarkable creature can grow up to 1.5 metres long and uses its long , whipping tail to help it dive and swim successfully when feeding. Additionally they have grey and black skin, which enables them to camouflage in the rocks away from their preditors.
