Kristin Rossum Case

Kristin Rossum- Wife of the victim
Kristin Rossum called 911 from her husband's phone and when the police arrived they found him dead on the bed on the bed. Rossum claimed that he had committed suicide.
She was charged with life in prison without parole and a $10,000 dollar fine. She was transferred to the Central California Women's Facility in Chowchilla
Kristin's profession was toxicology. This case is important because he wasn't killed by a drug that she stole from her work, he would not of had access to that drug to commit suicide. Students are studying the case because of the use of drugs to kill someone else. It shows good examples of toxicology in real life and why its so important.

1. Rossum committed the murder like a movie scene
2. Rossum was able to steal the drug from her work.
3. Rossum was sued after she was sentenced. Even though she is gonna be in jail for the rest of her life.
