Shot 1

Color: The background color is a blue shade, similar to the second characters costume. The main character has been dressed in the complementary color, this shows opposition.

Framing: Main character appears in forground.

Costume/Prop: Purse, hair style, and outfit differences between the two characters are noticeable. Very simple costumes, few props.

Shot 2

Color: The blue background represents the secondary character, Bethany, is the main focus giving her power.

Framing: Point of view, or POV, for shot 2 confirms that the secondary character is being focused on by our main character. By comanding the main characters full attention we can see Bethany is in power.

Costume/prop: Bethany's hair is in an updo, typically representative of higher class. It is also notable that her profile display shows her high 4.6 out of 5 scoring

Shot 3

Color: As we change shots notice the blue background slowly fades into pink. You can see a glimpse of this pink hue in the still at the top of the frame.

Framing: A close up of the main character, Lacey, in center frame shows the possible shift of power in the scene. In film this framing gives power to whomever is in that position.

Costume/prop: Lacey's hair is fashioned into a mid-ponytail giving her a much more casual vibe. This gives us the idea that try as she may she can not win the power struggle to Bethany.

Shot 4

Color: Shot 4 is a great example of the power struggle in this scene. We see this represented in the way Lacey's pink dress and phone appear. Though it occupies 3/4 of the screen, the background remains blue.

Framing: The focus is on Lacey's phone, and her dress takes up a sizeable portion of the frame, but we see with the contents of the phone and the background the framing is hinting Lacey is being closed in on and pushed from the frame, losing power.

Costume/prop: Simplistic phone design keeps the viewers focused on the power dynamic as tthere is nothing to distract from it we can see Bethany is the main focus for Lacey and the viewers.

Shot 5

Color: Blue background remains, keeping Bwthany in control.

Framing: Profile of Bethany pans to her face in POV shot, again showing Lacey is giving her undiviattentoin to anything involving Bethany.

Costume/prop: Bethany's profile layout serves as our prop in this shot. The set up of the layout is simple compared to actual social media. No ads our other people are viewable. Only focus is Bethany.

Shot 6

Color: Blue background remains. Again, compelmentary colors represent each character. One thing that is interesting is the pink purse Bethany holds. Similar to Lacey's, this shows they relate on some level.

Framing: Mid shot of both characters showing mimicked body language by Lacey mirroring Bethany.

Costume/prop: Costumes remain the exact oposite of one another as well as hair style. In this shot we get a better view of Bethany's outfit. We can see it matches her over the top hair style with the large ruffled collar and wool blazser.

Shot 7

Color: Blue background.

Framing: Close up of secondary character, repetative, but this time not from Lacey's point of view.

Costume/prop: No new costumes or props in this shot. Maaintaining the simplicity throughout the scene keeps the viewer focused on the struggle at hand and shows the tension in the elevator.

Shot 8

Color: Although it seems the blue background is constant throughout the scene it is not. It changes from pink to blue as they pass levels and continue to talk. Watching the scene closely one will notice the color change coincides with the character in power.

Framing: Mid shot remains, still showing body language.

Costume/prop: Nothing new.
