She was born in 1907, in the suburbs of Mexico City in her parent's house known by the "Blue House"
She was the third of four sisters.

In 1939, the Louvre Museum bought one of her portraits.
She was a teacher in the national painting and sculpture school in Mexico.
She was an activist for humans rights and became a feminist symbol.
She died in Coyoacán, México, in 1954.
