Tang's desire to increase its influence on the Korean Peninsula and gain access to its natural resources led to the invasion. The invasion, however, was viewed as a danger by the Silla Kingdom.

The Start of The Invasion

The Silla invasion was initiated by the Tang forces. They soon took control of many of the important cities and territories.

How Did They Respond

The Silla Empire was tough to take down, so they retaliated strongly, and in the end they succeeded in driving the Tang troops from their lands.

The invasion lasted for a number of years, and although the Tang forces initially made progress, they eventually fell short of their objectives. The Tang Dynasty's plans for the Korean Peninsula were curbed, and the Silla Kingdom emerged from the war as a stronger, more unified country.

One thing the Silla got out of the invasion was adopting certain Chinese traits. An example is Writing and Philosphy. This helped to shape Silla society and played a vital role in the development of Korean civilization.

After the recent victory over the Tang Empire the Silla enjoyed lots of sucess. Their economy was growing due to their trade skyroketing. They built allinces with other reigons and decided to take it to the next step by expanding.

How Did They Expand

The Silla's strategic location and alliances with neighboring kingdoms, such as the Baekje and Goguryeo, were crucial in helping them gain control of the southern region. Additionally, the Silla's well-trained and organized army, strong navy, and diplomatic policy of granting autonomy to local rulers were key factors in helpin them expand

As we mentioned trade in Silla helped create allinces and benifits that helped aid their conquest. It helped generate most of their wealth. But the Silla as we said maintained a few Chinese elments so what did they Trade

Similarities:

Both the Silla and the Tang traded in luxury goods such as silk, porcelain, and precious metals.

Both dynasties also traded in agricultural products, such as grains, fruits, and vegetables.

They also traded in cultural products, such as books, art, and music.

Diffrences:

Silla had access to the sea and engaged in maritime trade with Japan and Southeast

Asia, while Tang relied on the Silk Road for trade with Central Asia and the Middle East.

Silla traded horses and marine products, while Tang traded tea and spices.
