Healthy Relationships
With Male Role Models
Historically it has been noted that as the years has passed the involvement of fathers in education has been at an all time decline closely to the state of depletion. As an employee of M-DCPS for the last 5 years I have had my encounters with fathers in reference to their child's education and most conversation end with the idea that the role of educational responsibility belongs to the mother.
To educate on the important aspect of a father in a child's life. Working toward impacting the thinking and behavior of that child promoting healthy relationships, career and personal choices.

To Partner with M-DCPS to directly impact the children in their development process through the avenue of education. Reaching child and family.
We will accomplish this by partnering with in-house programs, PTA, Clubs, Activities etc.......
We currently have 13 Schools available for entry.
Working with the students and school on an elementary level gives a progression leverage to the program, being able to mold and develop participating children while also evaluating the programs effectiveness.
At this level we are also able to monitor long-term impact and also create a progressive curriculum that has been tried and tested.
Also at this level we are able to reach families and communities oppose to just working with students and school.
At this level we will utilize The Fatherhood Reading Squad Module.
Developing an interactive curriculum that involves student, teacher, parent and role model.
As we know at this level child is developing a self-awareness and is struggling with identity, therefore the curriculum for this group should include things that interest the child such as technology, extra-curricular activities that implements the expected outcome through the the involvement module.
At this level we will allow the young adults participate in the reading squad module. (Create their own)
This would include involving activities directors, coaches etc...
Up for Discussion......
