Arabs mainly reside in South-West Asia, as well as Northern Africa. Islam is the main religion of Arabs, people that fractice Islam are called Muslims. Within the Islam religion there is also the Sunni and Shia sub-divisions. There are also some Christian and Jewish Arabs. There are over 200 million Arab people across the world. One thing to remember is that Arab is not a race. An Arab can be defined as a member of the Semitic people.

Persians are an ethnic group that come from Iranian descent. They share a common cultrural beleif system, and are native speakers of the Persian Language. The main religion that Persian people practice is Shīʿite Islam. The Persian name comes from the Persian peoples tribal name, Parsua.
