Has Angela Merkel used her power for the good of Germany?
I believe Angela Merkel has used her power for the benefit of Germany, one thing Angela Merkel has done is: Angela has welcomed refugees to Germany. Angela realized this is the right thing to do, because no other countries, at the time, let in refugees. Refugees came to Germany because of war in their countries. Angela welcomed refugees to Germany in 2005, through about four years almost 1 million refugees came to Germany. In late summer 2015, as tens of thousands of refugees were arriving on Europe's shores to find a new home. The next Friday, September 4, Merkel relaxed controls on the border with Austria, allowing tens of thousands of refugees stranded in Hungary to enter Germany.

German political system
Australian political system
Germany is a democratic, federal parliamentary republic. The system has, since 1949, been dominated by the Christian Democratic Union and the Social Democratic Party of Germany.
The Australian Constitution of 1901 established a federal system of government. Under this system, powers are distributed between the government and the six States. The Constitution defines the boundaries of law-making powers between the Commonwealth and the States/Territories.
