- service ability & data
- For example, computers controlling manufacturing machinery could be taken down, which would halt the manufacturing of a businesses products.
- Or, a denial-of-service attack on a website would halt the businesses ability to make sales.
Financial Loss
- Damages to the wealth of an organisation, such as through:
- organisation losses
- compensation & legal fees
- For example, the cost of replacing damaged equipment from sabotage.
- Or, legal fees and compensation due to the impact on individuals.
Reputation Loss
- The loss of trust and lowered opinion of people to a business, such as through the:
- lack of service
- employee or customer information
- For example, services taken may cause people not wanting to use the service due to availability concerns.
