The discoverer of the royal tombs of Ur was Leonard Woolly, he had knew that there was a city that was to be discovered but it was covered in sand and dirt so he started digging, once he found the layout of the old city he thought there was something special of the place so he dug even more. Digging this much Leanard woolley identified in total 16 tombs and 4 were royals.

The impact of this find was magnificent because there were over 2000tombs found and amongst all of the tombs there wer alot of goods like gold and metals and alot more treasures. They also figured the lifestyle way back in the past of these people and how they lived.
