DanThaMan8. “US Imperialism in Hawaii: A Timeline.” Time Toast. Accessed 03/01/21. https://www.timetoast.com/timelines/us-imperialism-in-hawaii-a-timeline
This source is not very credible because it was made by a person that doesn’t have a background in history that we know of. The intended audience is people who are looking for a timeline on how Hawaii came to be and how it went through imperialism. This work is less detailed and less credible than the other sources I sighted. It did help me have an idea of where to start with my presentation but I did not use this source directly for my information.
Hughes, Clint. “American Imperialism in Hawaii, China & the Philippines” Study.com. Accessed 03/02/21.https://study.com/academy/lesson/american-imperialism-in-hawaii-china-the-philippines.html#:~:text=In%20Hawaii%2C%20American%20businessmen%20basically,the%20U.S.%20under%20President%20McKinley.&text=The%20result%20was%20that%20the,from%20the%20U.S.%20until%201946.
This source is credible because it mentions on the website that Hughes has taught History, Government, Speech Communications and Drama. This makes me think that he knows a lot about this and it is a reliable source to learn about History. His intended audience is students preparing for a test over imperialism in different places like Hawaii, China and the Philippines. I used a lot of the information from this video in my presentation. I think this one of the most credible sources that I have sighted.
