The Acadians lived in the Ohio river valley and had been there for many generations. Nova scotia got traded from the French to the British (Treaty of Utrecht), Acadians had been there for many generations. The Acadians refused to fight for the British. The British burned the Acadians' town down.
Once upon a time, the French and the British were fighting over the Ohio valley in 1753-54. Lots of tension was rising between the French and the British because if they had the Ohio river valley, they could become rich and they would have lots of resources. So, the French and the British decided to come up with ideas to get the land. So, the British decided to build in the Ohio river valley area around the French and take them over but the French didn't like that so they put the British houses on fire around the time the "Join or die" cartoon was published. Then the British did the same thing back to the French.
The French wants revenge and attacks small British towns. They killed and took people then burned there town down. They killed 50 settlers, took 32 scalps and 150 women and children as prisoners.
The British and the French continued to battle with large forces. The British Colonies outnumbered the French but the French reduced that advantage by recruiting Native Americans. The British teamed with the local military while also having regular forces from Britain and Ireland. After a hard-fought three-month siege the French were finally forced to abandon their attempt to take the city by the arrival of a British naval force carrying 600 reinforcements on 16 February 1759.
Siege of Louisbourg known also as the French and Indian war. The siege of Louisbourg was a pivotal operation of the Seven Years' war. This led to the subsequent British campaign to capture Quebec in 1759. James Wolfe was a British Army Officer.
The French didn't have many troops so they brought anyone from Canada and France who wants to fight. The French gathered up 15,000 people, some part of them were trained but most of them weren’t. The British had 14,000 trained soldiers. Although the French gathered more, the British were trained and the French were not.

In July 1759, James Wolfe faced a divided council and winter was almost here. James Wolfe set off without talking to his brigadiers, made new plans, and didn't go upriver as the officers suggested. Meanwhile, the French were underground digging trenches and holes to hide in which were about 10 miles long, and were more prepared than last time in Louisbourg and were ready. James Wolfe thought he could win with the same plan he had in Louisbourg by simply raging in. James Wolfe sent 4000 British soldiers onto the shore of Beauport. The French shot them all and the French were victorious. The French are confident and are ready in case there is another attack.
80 French boats chained together with explosives on the inside of the boats. The French men would blow up the boat and quickly jump off and swim away. The ships blew up too early and missed the British navy. The British cheered.

Wolfe led his army in the early mornings and stood in front of the plains of Abraham. 400 snipers that are French-Canadian/Natives. Montcalm sent over 5000 French troops to the plains of Abraham. Everyone is getting ready to fight including the French, the British, the Canadians, the highlanders and natives. The British made a two thin red lines which was half a mile long. Wolfe was killed on the battlefield in the plains of Abraham. Montcalm also got shot and died the next day. The British take control of the city.
In 1759, General James Wolfe and his British troops came up against the garrison/military base of French Commander Marquis de Montcalm and his French troops. The French teamed up with native Canadians which is what gave the war the name "The French and Indian War". The French had an advantage because they have won many battles in the past but the British made sure to reinforce their position in North America. The French were more concerned about European commitments. The British blew up 50 houses on the first night. The British cut off the supply train which causes the people in Quebec to starve and get no sleep but Quebec is not giving up. The Britain took over and they got the victory and Quebec.
