How can I stay cool when the power goes out in the summer time? Texas reaches 100 degrees plus outside.
It's 100 degrees outside, The power just went out. The temperature inside the house is going up and it's getting dark.
Cesur to the rescue.
My Design Idea
My original idea was to create a full size floor fan that had a light attached to it. However that would have been to big for me to take to school so I down sized my idea to a desk fan and a night light.
Sniping wire, attaching it to a battery... I now have a battery operated fan.
Fan (I used a clip fan)
6 volt battery
Wire cutters
Wire capes
Small light bulb
Hot glue
Electrical tape
Soldering gun
My plan is to go to the store and buy a six volt battery and buy a clip fan that only uses 5 volts. Next I will bring home the items I bought.
2. I will gather all other items needed and place them on the table.
3. I need to splice the wires of the fan, place the bare wire on the battery and then cover with wire caps.
4.turn the switch of the fan on and now I can stay cool.
but wait I can not see it's Dark.. I will now add a small light to the fan so I can see.
The fan worked like wonders because it was wired strait to the battery. The light did not work because the wires would not stay in place on the bottom of the light. So I had to find a way to make the wires on the bottom more stable.
The reason the light worked on test two, is because we added a metal part to the light and hot glued the cap of the small light on the fan so it would stay in place and it worked.
