What impact does ongoing teacher communication with parents and increase parent engagement have on my three most struggling students during the third quarter compared to the first semester? How can frequent teacher communication with parents in math increase my three most struggling students’ overall learning performance based on the 4 levels of proficiency at my site during the third quarter?
Female = Struggling in math. Math grade for the 2nd semester was 61.3%. She shown a willingness to learn for as long as she gets attention. Dad agreed that she does need help and is willing to be supportive at home.
Struggled in math during our first 2 quarters. His math grade at the end of the 2nd quarter was 38.9%. He has a problem staying on task and completing his job. He has shown that he is capable of doing math. Both parents shown a willingness to help support their child.
This student has a hard time doing math. He is currently in after school math club. Mom is very supportive and shown that she is willing to do what it takes for him to succeed. His math grade after the 2nd quarter was 53.1%.

First trial didn't go so well. First, students were not giving or were late with handing their parents the given information. Student surveys were not completed and had little information.

In conclusion, although my three students did not meet my expectation of at least 70% they did show growth. I see more of a growth mindset and their willingness to complete their work. For the last two weeks all student's work has been turned in.
