James Naismith was a Canadian Phys Ed Teacher that is most known for creating the sport of basketball. Naismith started working at McGill University in 1891 and retired in 1937.

his parents names were John Naismith and Margaret Young.

he had two spouses named Florence B. Kincaid, and Maude Evelyn Sherman.
