WHERE CAN WE FIND MAGMA?
The geosphere (solid part of the earth) is made up of 4 layers
The lithosphere (solid outer part) includes the crust and top of the mantle
The 4 layers of the Geosphere:
THE INNER CORE
- The centre of the earth
- It is also the hottest part
THE OUTER CORE
- The layer around the inner core
- It is liquid
THE MANTLE
- The thickest layer of the geosphere
- Made up of magma
- Magma is semi-liquid rock
THE CRUST
- The top layer of the geosphere
- It is thinner than the other layers
- It is solid and forms the continents
- The Earth´s crust is constantly changing
