Neil Armstrong was born on August 5, 1930 in a small Ohio farmhouse.When Neil was six he went on his very first plane ride.The plane was called The Tin Goose!Neil enjoyed ever single minute of the ride. Neil loved to make wind up planes with rubber bands.
When Neil was a teen he got a job at a doughnut shop. He made doughnuts and the reason he was there was because he was small enough to climb in the dough mixer and clean it!
When he was in high school he was in a band called The Mississippi Moonshiners. Neil had played the baritone horn. Neil then attended collage and had just turned 17! When Neil got to collage he had to fight in the Korean War to pay for his scholarship.
After Neil fought in the Korean War he went back to collage. At that time Neil was a little bit older than the rest of the kids! Then it happened..... Neil had fell in love! Her name was Janet Shearon. They were married in 1956 . They then had there first child they named him Eric. Though they called him Rick. Two years later they had a little girl named Karen but Neil called her Muffie. But when she was two she fell and hit her head! then her eyes became crossed and then she had cancer. She died in 1962. Neil died on August 25, 2012 at age 82.

1939- World War II begins after Hitler's forces invade Poland.
1945- World War II ends.
1963- Martin Luther King Jr. makes his " I Have a Dream " speech .
Some Challenges Neil had to face were when his little daughter died and when his house was set on fire! Some other challenges were when Neil had to leave his family to give speeches around the world about NASA. Neil also had to fight in a war!

Some accomplishments Neil made where when Neil was excepted in NASA. He also was the first person to step foot on the moon. Another one was Neil got a job at a collage.
