Benefits
One of the benefits of the IOT is, how it can change a lot of things in the health care system, which could prove to be incredibly beneficial for both an individual and a society, this will have a positive impact on business' like the NHS. For example, A chip could be placed into each individual at a hospital, allowing for hospitals to monitor the vital signs of the patient at all times and they could contact them when they need to go to the hospital, this is a positive impact on society as it could save many peoples lives. However this can also scare people into thinking their condition is worse than it actually is,but by having these monitors doctors will be able to judge to which patient needs the most medical attention. Another advantage is that the interent of everything brings a lot of people together for example it is predicted that by 2020 each individual on average will each have 7 different connectable devices, this will have a massive positive impact on business' such as apple or samsung as their profit margins will go through the roof with everyone buying more and more technology, where as in 2015 it stood at 3 per person. IoT can also function as a tool that can save people money within their households. If their home appliances are able to communicate, they can operate in an energy efficient way. Finally, IoT can assist people with their everyday plans. A very interesting example that was given in a video was the communication between many devices that automatically adjusted to let an individual sleep in.
Energy effiecency could be a massive impact on farming and aggriculture as there are so many new ways of being more energy efficient whilst farming, an example is to grow foreign fruits and foods locally instead of buying them from places in Africa and else where, by using green houses to grow crops that can change the heat inside by itself to grow specific plants, or it could even change the PH of the soil depending which plants it is growing, if all the fod is grown with in the host country, it will make the world more energy efficient as there less fuels being burnt in transport, however this could lead to disaster for places in AFrica who's countries are in debt as if selling fruits like bananas is there main industry, if loads of greenhouse are being built for bananas than that is the countries main source of money being destrpyed losing loads of jobs in the poorer countries making them even less economically developed.
Negatives
Negatives
Three of the main concerns that are involved with the Internet of Things, this includes the breach of privacy, over-reliance on technology, and the loss of jobs. As when something is put onto the internet it will always be there, so even with secuirity measures in place trying to look after your information, there is always a risk that, hackers could break into the system, to obtain data/informatipn to steal or share. Also, companies could misuse the information that they are given access to. This is a common mishap that occurs within companies all the time. An example of this is Google as they were caught using different bits of information that were supposed to be private. As well as this; No system is robust and fault-free. So in the IOE we are always going to have glitches that occur constantly in technology, specifically involving the internet. The more we trust and the more dependent we are on the Internet could lead to a potentially catastrophic event if it crashes. Finally the connecting of more and more devices to the Internet will result in the loss of jobs. The automation of IoT will have a devastating impact on the employment prospects of less-educated workers, or people that are having more practical jobs so for example mechanics and joiners may lose their jobs because of this new technology that can do the job instead, without having to pay for wages to every worker. We already are witnessing jobs being lost to automated machines, such as the checkout line in supermarkets and even ATM’s. These disadvantages can be largely devastating to society as a whole, as well as individuals and consumers. The IOE can also affect society, an example of it hurting society is that, with things like call of duty coming out every single year basically available to everyone, it has led to a huge increase in violence in teenage boys and lead towards cases of assault.
For example, information leaked due to hackers, or by companies that are using more information than they are required, or missuse the information, an example of this in when Google breaxched the privacy rules by using different people information for different purposes that the users did not agree to.

connecting of more and more devices to the internet could mean that machines and robots could do practical jobs with out needed to be paid which could have a massive positive impact onm business as some companies could save loads of money in the long run after paying fees for the new machinery, an example of this could be west port or any other joinery and laboured jobs, however it will also mean there are a lot more new jobs opening up in the industry of the new technology, but this means that it will require advanced skills to be able to make the new technology meaning people of a lower intelligence level will struggle to have jobs in the upcoming future. With the jobs needing more advanced skills this would also mean school levels and university degrees would raise in the level of difficulty, so it will be harder to find people who are capable for very intelligent jobs such as project managers.
Perhaps one of the biggest negatives og the internet of everything is how much crime rates could possibly rise as everything is so accessible, so things like paedophiles could easily access things like child porn on the dark web with out any notice from police forces, as well as this, you are a lot less likely to get punished on the internet rather than physically in the real world, an example of this is piracy of films and songs, this is a crime that occurs all over the world with everyone taking a blind eye to it, as most people have pirated a film or song before without any consequences, however, if you were to go into HMV and shoplift a film or a song which is basically the same thing there is no doubt that consequences will follow which could lead to fines and even jail time.
As well as this with people using technology are having inreased risks of having mental conditions like depression and anxiety. Also all this time spent on phones and other devices is stopping over 1 billion people doing as much exercise and physical activities as they would have with out all the new technology, this in the future could have a large impact on both society and business as if people are doing less and less physical jobs and activities, it will lead to a large increase in obesity around the world, it affects society as if people are obese they feel really self conscience about them selves, and may lead to even more depression and anxiety in the world, and will affect business as obese people are generally lazy, they are less likely to want to go out and get jobs or carry on with there jobs if they can just claim benefits for being obese.
The Internet of Everything is having an enormous impact on business. It is completely reinventing the way businesses can operate. It is bringing productivity and competitiveness with in the business to higher levels along with opening up many doors to new and exciting opportunities, especially with in the job industry as there are loads of new technical jobs coming in that manufacture drones and robots etc. Companies that are more recently harnessing the power of IoE are excited to realize that it will impact their overall business strategy, not just their technology. A host of new jobs will be created and current roles will be re-defined. It is my belief that IoE will create a major revolution in the way we work, dramatically changing jobs at different levels within the enterprise.

In this age, the internet of everything has brought in a lot of new sources of revenue, which leads to a whole new spectrum on jobs that did not exist 20 years ago, for example the internet of everything has created the youtube industry, which impacts business' globally as they can use big icons in youtube with millions of subscribers to advertise their company or products, it also has a big impact on the lower aged society as youtube provides a lot of entertainment for younger people, but at the same time you can search for anything you want, from gaming videos to instructions on how to build or fix something in your house, so it could actually save people time, as well as making youtubers earn lots of money making them famous almost, an example of this would be ksi, whos career is on youtube and now he has a lamborghini and a massive appartment in London earning millions.
The Internet of Everything is all about opportunity. It is about making life easier, more enjoyable, and creating new possibilities and options that did not exist before. 20 years ago, Facebook, Whatsapp and smart phones didnt even exist, it was a thing only seen in dreams, Facebook was created in February of 2004 and already there are more than 1 billion people interconnected with facebook, all sending data along in messages, making facebook link to the four pillars, as it bring all four of the pillars together, as to use facebook People are using Things such as smartphones or tablets to go onto facebook and the can exchange Data when they are sharing posts or selling things on pages or just texting friends, facebook collects the data and then it will Process it into text or by links that other people can see on their own facebook. Facebook also effects business' as they could advertise there product on facebook, meaning it is possible for over one million people to see your company and product, opeming up a whole new recvenue, as Facebook is used globally so you are not restricted in how you advertise at all and your business can be known all around the world instead of just locally, however if it gets any bad reviews then it is up on the internet for over 1 billion people to use.
All of the four pillars are all linked to eachother as they all have the same aim, which is to bring people together whilst making life easier as people are creating new advanced technology, with help from the internet, which cuts out a lot of physical work, also if you were to miss out anyu of the pillars then there would not be an internet of everything.
Without people, everything else we have mentioned would be meaningless. At the endpoint of every process, of every IoT device, is a person, or in most cases, a group of people, this will include large groups like societies and communities.
This is the intelligence deployed to tie everything else together. The innovation, the ideas, and the applications that put all these new capabilities to use for us.
The Internet, of course, was developed as a means to share and transport data. Data will continue to be at the core of every internet technology and platform. It is important to remember that methods of communication such as voice, text, and video are all still just data, even without any kind of technology involved.
The things are the devices, large and small, complex and simple, that both feed the data into the Internet of Everything, and in many cases, act upon the data flowing through the Internet of Everything. Factory robots, intelligent traffic lights, drones, home appliances. All potentially fit within the Internet of Everything as IoT enabled devices.
business' have really changed in the advancement of technology as, 10 years ago websites would usually be advertised into local newspapers, if the compnay was small to try and get people to learn about there business, but when Facebook came out in 2004 it opened alot of oppurtunities, especially in advertising, as they could make a facebook page on their business, giving as many images, and as much information as they need to put, as well as this they could highlight any important information such as where the compnay is located, and it is up for the full wolrd to see. As well as in just advertising, business has changed in industry, like in companies that make cheese etc, as now it does not need as many people to make cheese it just needs people to pour it into machines instead of it being made manually, by hand, so it has saved many companies lots of time, but also saved a few companies some money. It could also be used for communication, so you could put work rotas in group chats for all your workers to see, and this became even easier when things like Whatsapp, when it was made in January of 2010, as it is made just for the use of messaging, for example at my workplace in the wave centre we use two whatsapp chats, one for socialising, and one just for rotas and to say when we are/ are not available to work.
