Nick has lunch with the Buchanans(Daisy and Tom) and meets Jordan Baker. Nick notices flaws in Jordan's personality and character. He finds her extremely mysterious from this first encounter with her.
Nick moved to New York in hopes to learn more about bond trading.
Tom and Gatsby meet and Gatsby invites both Buchanans to his house party, which turns into a fail. Wilson kills Gatsby.
Although Daisy is married to Tom, he commits many accounts of adultery, that we see with a married woman named Myrtle Wilson, throughout the book. This causes Daisy to have an affair with her true love, Gatsby. However, Daisy decides to stay with Tom after learning about Gatsby's reason for wealth.
Daisy runs over Myrtle Wilson with Gatsby's car and then Gatsby takes the blame. Tom tells Wilson that it was Gatsby who killed her.
NIck is in charge of Gatsby's funeral. Not many people show up except Owl Eyes and Gatsby's father, Henry Gatz.
After Tom tells Nick he told Wilson it was Gatsby that killed Myrtle, Nick decides to move back to the midwest and writes this story from his perspective.
