Bootes Folklore

In the Greek language, Bootes means "the ploughman".

According to myth, Bootes was a farmer in ancient Greece. He was tasked with the backbreaking job of digging up the field to make room for crops. However, Bootes knew that there must be a better way to do this, so he stayed up after an exhausting day and designed the invention he had in mind. The next morning, he set out with his new invention, the wagon and plow. The people, seeing the speed and efficiency with which he was able to complete this task, lined up for miles to buy the invention. He was placed in the stars to immortalize his cleverness and ingenuity.
