Parthenon Frieze - 443-437 BBC

Parthenon was made to represent a Panathenic procession, part of the festival held each year around Athena’s Birthday. Most example of the art is located in different museums around the world. Different fragments are in Paris, Munich, Vienna, etc. Out of the 50% of the original piece, half is in the British Museum, and half is in Athens.

Fallen Warrior from Temple of Aphaia 510-500 BC

Bull-Leaping Fresco -1450 -1400 BC

This sculpture represents a fallen warrior from Trojan. It was originally part of the east Temple of Aphaia, the story behind it is that a this solider was very badly hurt but did not want to surrender. The soldier continues to keep fighting and trying to get up but he eventullay dies.

Minoan Art- 1650 - 1200 BC

The bull-leaping fresco is important to the Minoan culture for the expression that shows a mans understanding of nature. It is also a distinguishable work significant to the Minoan culture by its colors and distinct shapes that brings life to the scenes This is also shown by when a human triumphs over an animal just like in the painting.
