1. Create a daily checklist and focus on it until it is done
2. Complete my assignments by the due date
3. Ask teachers for help if needed
Responsibility, Respect, and Safety:
I come to school with my student I.D. and in my school uniform.
Always Most of the time Sometimes Never
I arrive at class on time.
Always Most of the time Sometimes Never
I come to class prepared with a charged Chromebook.
Always Most of the time Sometimes Never
I come to class prepared with all the required materials
Always Most of the time Sometimes Never
I actively listen to teachers in class.

My science notebook is organized because the assignments are in order and there is a table of contents saying where each page is, name, and date.
One of my favorite activities was Lab #4 Density blocks. I enjoyed it because I had to do math to find the density of differnent blocks of materials. I also was able to see differnent types of materials.
I learned how to find the density of items
I chose to show you this because this was fun and I really liked this lab. I also learned about density.
My strenghts in quizzes is writing. I seem to be doing good at that. My areas needed for growth is studing before the test. I don't study much before tests and then I don't get good grades
The strongest project I have done in science is the odometer. For this project me and my teammate had to construct an odometer using materials like recycled cartboard and PVC pipes. I don't have the odometer to show because I broke it apart but I do have a picture.
What I learned from making the odometer is how to construct things with foam board and how to use a box cutter. Another thing I learned is Circumfernce, Radius, and Diameter.
One piece of information recorded from this year is the odometer trial. We needed to measure the distance form one place to another using our odometers.
What is being measured? What is being measured is the distance from Ms. Perkis classroom to Mr. Trans classroom to the black top and then the volleyball court.
What does the Units Represent? The units represents meters. M stands for meters.
What EQ does the data relate to? The data relates to the essitial question, How many meters does it take to get to point a to point b because the odometer helps measure meters and the odometer was used to find the distance between the school campus, so the EQ should be how many meters does it take to get to point a to point b.

Empires and Civilizations We Learned About:
This year we have learned about:
1. Islam in Medieval Times
2. Empires of West Africa
3. The Byzantine Empire
What has history and current events taught you about life?
One lesson about life that I learned through studying history is team work can acomplish a lot. A civilization is a bunch of people working together to live and thrive. Without the individual there wouldn't be the civilization but because they worked together they could live better quality lives and they only have to focus in one thing (their profession) and other have to focus in other things (their professions).
My favorite unit is Islam in Medieval Times because it was very interesting and I was learning the history of my own religion (i am a muslim). It was interesting because during the dark ages of Europe, in Africa and Asia where Islamic empires were, they were thriving and it was considered the golden age of Islam.
There are a few ways I could improve. One thing is I need to stop procrastinaing. I leave things to do later and sometimes I end up doing it last minute. Another way I should improve myself is making my handwriting more neater. I have bad handwriting. I think I am ok in organizaiton and I think my writing skills are satisfactory.
The three images in the parent bubble are maps. The three maps are of three different units and empires. The top map is a map of the Byzantine Empire. The bottom right is the Rashidun Caliphate and the bottom left is the Mali Empire.
Requirnments For Vignette Include:
The most challenging requirement of my narrative vignette was 300 - 450 words. It was hard to keep the words count below 450 and I did in the end go over 450 words.
The most enjoyable requirement of my narrative vignette was adding the antaginsit. It was nice adding someone that is gonna make the story more interesting.

The R.A.C.E.(E). Organizational writing strategies includes four different parts. RACE is an acronym. R stands for restating. For R you must restate the question. A stands for answer. Next part (A) you must answer the question. C stands for cite evidence. After you answer the question you must cite the evidence. Any text that isn't yours you must put inside quotes and then use parenthasies to give creidit to the original creator. E stands for explain. You must explain what it means.

I didn't use any informational text structure in the constructive responce because I wasn't paying attention to the directions and I didn't put it into the constructive responce.
The stratigies I used in the constructive responce from the RACE writng stratigies is R (restating), A (answering the question), and C (cite evidence).
The minimum required pieces of textual evidence needed to support each analytical claim is two
My writing strengths in this constructed response include
simple sentences. They are my strenght because of how simple they are. You just add a subject and a predicate.
One area of my constructed responses that I have improved on is compound-complex sentances. It means two or more independant clause (sentacne that makes sense on its own) and one or more dependant clause (sentance that doesn't make sense on its own). I should work on that.
One area of my writing in which I can still improve on is the complex sentances. I could improve in combining independant clauses and dependant clauses.
The most challenging part of math this year is
the projects because they were kinda time consuming. Math this year was overall easy though
I will have more success in Math from now on because I
Will try to work harder and complete the assignments as soon as possible from now on so I don't have to do it last minute.
One thing I have learned about myself through my math class experience is that I
am ok at math and I shouldn't start slacking off otherwise my grades are gonna drop

I chose this item because it shows
that I know how to manage how much money I use.
This is evidence that I have learned
How do precentages. On slide 11 (main course slide) I had to use precentages to find the price when there was a 20 percent discount.
If I could do this over, I would
go to dollar tree. $1 turkey
I need to stop procrastinating and I gotta start compleing the assignments as soon as possbile.
How long was I in the target zone?
I was in the target zone for 51% of the time.
What does the data mean? The red means maxium, yellow mean hard, green means moderate, blue means light, and grey means you aren't even trying. For most of the time I have been in the green zone.
The polar gofit watch influenced the way I worked out by helping me understand how well I am doing and if I need to work harder or if I should do less harder.
What I can do to improve my workouts? During my workouts I have noticed that sometimes I can work harder and I am not giving it my all. This is only sometimes thought and usually I try to work hard. I could also try running and doing more physical exercise at home and during the breaks so I am ready to go when school starts again
Why is PE important to me? It is important to me because it helps me stay healthy. I am able to run faster and I am stronger because of PE. Another reason PE is important to me is because I like running.
What is my most favorite and best experience in PE? One of my most favorite experiences in PE is spikeball and vollyball. I enjoyed those a lot because it was fun playing with my friends. Another fun and my best experiences was track and field. I enjoyed the 400 relay and the 1200 relay because I was able to run and use teamwork to get to the finish line.
Why was tech elective important to me? It was important to me because it helped me learn about technology. Before tech elective I didn't know how to use HTML and CSS and now because I took the course I now know what code to use to make websites. I also know some tags in both HTML and CSS.
What was my favorite part? My favorite part was leaning about HTML and CSS. I enjoyed learning it because it is easy and I want to learn how to code.
Two Page HTML
My two page HTML was about Minecraft. For this assignement I used HTML to code. (I will show file in person)
Class Data Spredsheet
For this project I made a Google spredsheet. In this project I gathered information of other students and then put it all in a spreadsheet.

A way in which I have changed or grown this year is my running ability. I have increased in stamina and speed (probably because of cross country)
I have been meaning to tell you that I have done ok at school
Before you leave today, I want you to know this about me: I have done ok at school and I am planning in improvment
A recent school experience that was positive or funny was I had a track and field unit in PE
My dream job someday is to either be an astronomer or have something to do with coding and what I’m willing to do to achieve this goal is study coding and try improving my grades in science.
Dad I need you to help me reach my goals. I need you to push me into doing better.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my work this year. Thank you for coming!
