Since the 1800's human activities have been the main cause of climate change,due to burning fossil fuels like coal,oil and gas.Burning fossil fuels creates greenhouse gasesthat act like a cover wrapped around the Earth,trapping the sun's heat inside and raising the tepmratures. Examples of greenhouse gases that are causing climate change are carbon dioxide and methane.These come from using gasoline for driving a car or burning coal for heating a building.Clearing land and forests can also realese carbon dioxide.Energy,industry,transport,buildings,agriculture and land use are some of the main causes of climate change.
