How was Kennedy Exonerated?
Exoneration
- There was a DNA test conducted in 2001. Proving that the DNA found on the victim was not his. And in fact Levon Brooks
- He was put out on bail not freed, not until the Innocence project.
- He was freed in 2008 and got 500,000 in statutory compensation.
The Trial
- Brewer was convicted because of flawed forensics. There was a bite mark on Gloria and it matched Brewer.
- A contributing factor to his conviction was his proximity to the Gloria.

Background Info
- Brewer was watching his girlfriends kids. After he had a gone Gloria Jackson was abducted from her home in the early hours of the morning.
- Police officers suspected Brewer because he was already at the house earlier and there was no sign of a break in, or so they thought. There was a broken window outside of Gloria's room but they didn't think anything of it.
- Gloria was later found roughly only .2 miles from her home.
