1.Promote effective communication between physician and patients.

2.Provides secure environment for patients.

3.Emphasis the importance of respect for patient’s autonomy.

4.Enable us to create boundaries and protect ourselves from interference.

Measures

Measures to protect privacy:

  • Make sure that another person of the same sex as the patient is present all the time during examination
  • Always get consent from the patient
  • Ensure privacy when taking information from patients
  • Avoid keeping patients for periods more than required by the procedure
  • Expose only the needed part for examination
  • Provide proper clothing for the admitted patient
  • Examinations should be performed in an isolated room
