What is literacy?

What is literacy?

Litracy is more than books and words. That is literature. Literacy is about learning, fickle or friend. Even if it's boring maths, or fun art, it's still literacy.

The Five Modes Of Literacy

There are five modes of literacy, mostly using the five senses. tHE FIVE MODES OF LITERACY Are visual, gestural, audio, language and spatial.

Visual

Visual is about seeing. all things that need looking to understand is visual. Reading, videos, telling the time, DrIving, all these things need looking at to do, or be understood.

Examples of other things that the mode of literacy visual uses and why: signs on the road; you need to look at them to see what it says, reading; you need to look at the words to understand the story, handiworks; you need to see to know what you are doing when crocheting, knitting, sewing, embroidering, hand-knitting, and various others.

Gestural

gESTURAL IS USED BY HAND GESTURES AND FACIAL EXPRESSIONS, AND MAYBE SOME HEAD MOVEMENTS. fOR EXAMPLE, IF YOU SMIle, it usually means you are happy! If you shake your head, it usually means you are saying no. If you put your thumbs up, in this culture, it means "good job".

oTHER EXAMPLES OF GESTURAL MOVEMENTS: PUT HAND OUT PALM FACING OUT; MEANS STOP, NOD HEAD; usually means yes, put hand out palm facing up and curling fingers inwards; sometimes means come on.

sOME DEAF PEOPLE USE A FORM OF GESTURES, CALLED SIGN LANGUAGE.

Audio

aUDIO IS THE THIRD MODE OF LITERACY USING EARS. mUSIC, SOUND EFFECTS AND VOICE IS ALL ABOUT AUDIO. If you use the mode of literacy; Audio, you will need to have good hearing to perfectly understand the surroundings that use the mode audio.

Other examples of the third mode of literacy Audio: talking on the telephone, talking with your friends, listening to music, watching a loud movie, a musical or a drama performance all include listening with ears.

Most blind people use audio to understand surroundings.

Spatial

Spatial is the fourth mode of literacy. It is mostly about the use of space in different ways of stage life. Spatial is understood when actors or actresses act with a strong feeling. For example close-ups with the camera up to the face are sometimes made when an actress or actor appears shocked.

eXAmpleS of other things that can be seen when you use the fourth mode of literacy spatial and why: dancing; using the space around you to express feelings like when rolling into a tight ball usually means you are upset, and you are not using too much space, Movies; when the actresses or actors appear lonely and the camera makes lots of people appear away from the exact wretched person.

Language

The last mode of literacy is language. lANGUAGE ISN'T JUST SPEAKING, it can be sign language or braille. Sign language is for deaf people, and braille is for blind.

French:

Bonjour (pronounced Bonju): hello

Madame (pronounced Madam): Mrs

Monsieur (Pronounced Monseeu): Mr

Mademoiselle (pronounced Mamozel): miss

au revoir (aw revow): to meet again

P.s: French words that don't have a vowel at the end aren't proinounced

This is braille, a language used for blind people. Blind people feel the dots for reading.
