William Henry Harrison was born on February 9, 1773 in Berkeley, Virginia. In 1795, Harrison married Anna Tuthill Symmes. The couple had 10 children, 6 of whom died before Harrison became president.

Elected to Office

The Whigs, in need of a national hero, nominated William Henry Harrison for President in 1840. He was elected at the age of 67.
