Chief Delgato: Okie Dokie, now we are going to move on to the squad car part of the tour. You kids ready to see a cop car?
Alex: Yes.
Ronny: Yeah.
Chief Delgato: [Brings the kids to the fleet yard to give the tour of a squad car]
Alex: Wow, this car looks really cool.
Ronny: Yeah, it does.
Chief Delgato: This is the standard squad car, this is where the officers work, there are a lot of different tools and equipment in each squad car for different purposes, some squads carry more things than others. For example, my squad has what's called a Break & Rack, it's used for breaking windows and racking out the screen and broken glass. It also has flashbangs, teargas.
Teacher: Okay class, This is Chief Delgato. She will be leading this trip and the tour.
Cheif Delgato: Good morning, I am the Chief of this police department. Today we will be taking a tour of the station, the jail, and a squad car. We will also be answering questions on police and this District.
Alex: How many officers work for this police department?
Chief Delgato: In total about 8,832 officers work for this police department, but for each district is about 2,208 officers in total.
Alex: Wow, that's a lot of officers.
Chief Delgato: Yes it is, and we are always hiring more.
Ronny: What do police officers do, cause I watched some movies and shows and the police were kind of really intense.
Chief Delgato: Police officers serve and protect the city and community from bad people, and crime, police officers are here to keep everyone safe, without police the whole world would be insane. Being a police officer can be intense, but it's not always going to be intense.

"Hey Ronnie, are you ready for te field trip to the police station?"
"Sort of, I'm a little afraid of police. All the movies and shows I've seen look really intense."
You know those are just movies and shows right, it's not real." said Alex
"I have my doubts."
"I am sure that this trip will change your view of the police."
What ever you say Alex." Ronny said unhappily.
Chief Delgato: Okie Dokie, we are now gonna start our tour beginning with the jail, then we´ll move on to a squad car.
Teacher: Ooh, that sounds fun.
Alex: This is gonna be fun.
Ronny: [A little nerves]
Alex: Everything will be fine, Ronny.
Ronny: If you say so, Alex.
Chief Delgato: [Gives the tour of the jail]
Ronny: Do the bad people get locked in these cells?
Chief Delgato: Yes, most of these cells are holding cells, meaning that inmates are not gonna stay here, just people who come in from the street that need a secure place while they wait to be booked into prison. Sometimes the bad people don't want to go in the cells so the officers have to guide them into the cells if they are being difficult with the officers.
"Good morning, Ronnie!

Ronny: My view on police has changed, I thought they were intense, but now I see that police officers are very important for the safety of the community.
Chief Delgato: There are some bad cops, but not every cop is a bad one, the bad ones ruin it for every other cop.
