Day 1

Discipleship

How does it relate to Indigenous people lacking water?

Discipleship is living like Christ, this applies to my topic because the government is not living like Christ. This applies to others preaching about unfair rights to clean water. They spread the word saying that is unfair to indigenous. Indigenous people have been spreading the word saying that they get unfair treatment, and more than 50% of Indigenous people lack clean water. Many of the members of Indigenous people are teachers and try to teach the public about this. The issue of indigenous peoples lacking access to clean water is a social justice issue that is deeply connected to the teachings of the Bible and the values of many Christians. The Bible teaches that all people are created in the image of God and have inherent worth and dignity. Therefore, Christians are called to care for and protect the most vulnerable among us, including indigenous peoples who lack access to necessities such as clean water.

Discipleship is living like Christ, loving one another, worship. This concept includes sharing God’s word and mission. We must teach the word of God, prayers, sharing, and personal relationships. Being a disciple of christ involves being strong, to be a disciple and following someone or a person with more knowledge. Some traits of discipleship include being a follower, having discipline, and being a believer. Service to others is key to being a follower of Jesus, it can also mean risking everything and having challenges. When you do this being a disciple you will not always get a positive reaction.

Some disciples from the Bible are John the Baptist, saul, his apostles, and mary. Some examples now are pope Francis, Richard Rohr, and Martin Luther King

Day 2

Sin

How does it relate to Indigenous people lacking water?

This concept applies to my social justice since is a religious moral of wrong doing. It would be inapplicable for anyone to be a non-sinner. This relates because the government is sinning by showing greed. The government does not need all the clean water. Members of the indigenous community are showing wrath towards the government and others. They are showing anger towards others. Others have shown anger showing that it is unfair towards the indigenous who are unable to be lacking in human rights. The human rights state that everyone has the right to clean and sanitary water. This shows that the government is lacking.

Sin is an offense against reason, truth, and right conscience. It’s a failure in genuine love for God and neighbors caught by a perverse attachment to certain Gods. There are many types of sin. There is original sin that we don’t commit we are born into sin damaged, The Christian doctrine that holds humans, through the fact of birth, we inherit a tainted nature in need of regeneration and proclivity to sinful conduct. We sin there is personal sin vs Social sin. Personal sin is a freely chosen and social sin is a collective group sinning. For mortal sin is defined as a grave action in the sense it’s killing weather, it’s yourself. An example of mortal sin is murder or abortion.Venial sin is not as serious as a mortal sin, it is a Catholic Church that is considered less serious than mortal sin. Venial sins can be forgiven through acts of contrition, confession and absolution by a priest. Some examples are minor theft, lying, and swearing. An example of Social is a group of many people skipping class whereas a personal sin is an individual skipping alone. There are seven deadly sins, typically in the order of pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath, and sloth. Lust is a strong passion or longing, especially for sexual desires. Gluttony is excessive and ongoing eating of food or drink.Greed is an excessive pursuit of material goods. Wrath is strong anger and hates towards others. Envy is an intense desire to copy others possessions. Pride is an excessive view of one’s self without regard for others.

Fruits and Gifts of the Holy spirit

How does it relate to Indigenous people lacking water?

the Fruits of the holy spirit, there are 9 of the virtues, love, charity, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, generosity, gentleness, faithfulness, modesty, self control, charity. These virtues are enumerated in the Bible, specifically in the book of Galatians (5:22-23), as follows: charity, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. These virtues are seen as the natural result of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer, and as evidence of the presence of God in that person's life.

The gifts of the Holy Spirit, also known as the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit, are often discussed in the Bible, particularly in the book of Isaiah and the New Testament. These gifts are considered to be special abilities or charisms imparted to believers by the Holy Spirit to help them better serve God and the Church. The seven gifts of the Holy Spirit are wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord. These gifts are said to help believers grow in their faith and be more effective in their service to others.

The fruits of the holy spirit are qualities to take action to this issue. An example generosity, the public can protest for the indigenous people. Non-natives can be understanding towards indigenous people. The natives take self control by not become angry towards the government.Love, for example, is a key aspect of caring for and protecting the most vulnerable among us, including indigenous peoples who lack access to clean water. This includes showing compassion, empathy, and concern for their well-being, and working to address the root causes of this issue through advocacy and activism.Joy is also an important aspect, when it comes to the work of addressing the lack of clean water in indigenous communities, it can be difficult and disheartening, especially since progress is slow or when the root causes of the problem are deeply entrenched in systemic injustices. But even in the face of these challenges, Christians can find joy in knowing that they are participating in God's work of bringing about justice and righteousness in the world. In summary, the fruits of the Holy Spirit are closely connected to the issue of indigenous peoples lacking access to clean water, as they represent the values and actions that should be evident in the lives of those who are indwelled by the Holy Spirit, and that align with the principles of social justice.

The gifts of the Holy Spirit are closely connected to the issue of indigenous people lacking access to clean water as they are given to believers to empower them to serve God and others in specific ways, including understanding the needs of indigenous communities, trusting in God's provision, inspiring others to take action, discernment of good and evil, serving others and communicating with different languages and cultures.
