About me

Johnna

My hobbies include Basketball, Volleyball, Cross-country, and Skiing.

My hobbies

I played basketball all through grade

school and stopped around 6th grade,

due to my mom passing away. I sort

of stopped doing sports in all, for

about 2 or 3 years. But freshman year

I played Varsity for Chemawa Indian

School. We were the Lady Braves.

Basketball

One of my favorites!

Volleyball

I played volleyball since I was able to

play school sports. It is one of my

favorites. I enjoy volleyball a lot, just

because, it's just one of those sports

you "click" with and are just a natural

at. Last time I played though, I was

still in grade school.

One of those "new" things you try

Cross country

You should know... I went out for

cross country to get in shape for?...

Basketball! We were the braves as well. It was one of the first sports I've

tried for the first time since my moms

passing.

One of my favorites as well!!

Skiing

I was skiing when I was in Junior

High. We would go skiing in Jackson

Hole, I guess it wasn't really for sports,

just for fun. But it was another thing I

was trying for the first time and I love

it!

Education

Riverside Braves

I attended Fort Washakie School kindergarten through 7th grade

Fort Washakie School

I went to Riverside for my 8th grade year. It is a boarding school in Oklahoma. & I returned beginning of my sophomore year for half the year and attended Chemawa for the remainder .

Riverside Indian School

Chemawa Indian School

I happened to like boarding school, so I wanted to try something new and attended Chemawa for my freshman year and sophomore year. It is also a boarding school, in Oregon.

I am proud of my last name, mainly because of who it comes from. The main man, my rock, my reason to do good, which is my dad. I'm adopted and when I found out, it was hard to process but my dad never gave up on me and I realized it doesn't matter, blood or not. He makes me proud of who I am, his kid. And it's something I will not ever forget.

Something I am proud of

My ethnicity

I am enrolled with the Eastern Shoshone Tribe.

Where we're from

The Wind River Reservation

The Wind River Reservation is located about 10 minutes out of Lander and 30 minutes out of Riverton, in Fort Washakie, Wyoming.

We live right under the mountains and this is the best picture I could find...

Our town is pretty wide-spread, no huge stores like Walmart. But there's a grocery store called Hines.

A little bit about us

Our flower is the rose..

Fun fact: We have a casino called the Shoshone Rose Casino!

Why?

I enjoy taking pictures of the sky, sunsets, sunrises, the stars, of people. I'm usually the friend they have "take the pictures" I'm just great with photos. I love them. They're something you can hold on to. I enjoy it. I want to start with Senior pictures and continue to pursue it. Senior pictures are my favorite. The way they are snapped and edited interests me. Of course when I see them I have my 2 cents of how I would have done it. But yeah, I love pictures and taking pictures.
