Distinguish the difference between a lake, mountain, ocean, and river.

Learing Objective

-To be able to define a mountain, lake,ocean , and river, and know the differences between them.

Todays Lesson is about mountans, Lakes, Oceans, and Rivers.

Mountains

A mountain is a landform that rises high above its surroundings. It is taller than a hill, and it usually has steep slopes and a rounded or sharp peak. Mountains are rarely found alone, they are mostly found in groups.

-Trees can grow on the sides of mountains

- The tallest mountain in the world is 8,850 meters high.

Lakes are defined as bodies of water surrounded on all sides by land. Lakes can be big or small, and they form inside of basins, which are bowl-shaped craters or holes in the ground.

An ocean is a huge body of salt water. Oceans have no real boarders and are often found by beaches.
