What is the kraken?

The kraken is said to be a sea monster that lives off the coasts of Greenland and Norway.It is believed to be 40 to 50 feet long or if you go back to the beginning of the the Kraken it would be a mile and a half long.
Is it real?

If you consider it as just a giant squid then yes.If you consider it as the kraken I talked about in the previous slide then probably no.A lot of people had proof it was real but the proof might have been fake.There isn't much scientific evidence that it is real.
When did it start

It started around the 12th or 13th century.It started to get popular in the 1700's.It was mentioned in 1735 in the first edition of Systema Naturae.It was written by Carl Linnaeuss who was a swedish zoologist.

It originated from Norway.
