Marcellus Gilmore Edson
Marcellus Gilmor Edson was a Canadian chemist and a pharmacist. In 1884, he patented a way to make peanut paste, an early version of peanut butter. He was born in Bedford, Quebec on February 7, 1849. He died on March 6, 1940 in Montreal, Canada
He made peanut butter by milling roasted peanuts between two heated surfaces.
