Extinct and Endangered Animals

Passenger Pigeon and West Virginia Water Shrew

Extinct and Endangered Animals

Why?

Why

Passenger Pigeon, Extinct

  • Hunted by hunters that did not know what would happen when they were gone
  • Trapped, shot, netted, and clubbed , why would some try to do that
  • The hunters even did it to the young called "squabs," that's so unfair right
  • Trees holding nests cut down, imagine if those nests were your and your friends houses

West Virginia Water Shrew, Endangered

  • Disturbances to forest environments
  • Increased road building, and logging, People should only cut what they need
  • Flooding or forest fires, that may even happen now
