The Amazing Race Canada

Kelowna,

British Colombia

Destination #I

The first destination of the race will be in Kelowna, BC. Racers will board a place at Pearson international and fly 3,909km. Kelowna is in the Wetsern Cordillera landform region and is home to roughly 150,00 people. The poupualtion density is 554 people per square kilometer which is not that much when compared to New York which has 26,000 per square kilometer. Teams will start at the Okanagan Military museum, a museum with guns, military equipment, and war history of the area.

Ski the River

Roadblock

Teams must travel to Kelownas Downtown Marina. From there, one team member must learn how to water ski. Once theyve mastered that, they will take a 2km trip through and around the river without falling down. Once theyve completeed this task, they will receive their next clue.

Detour

Start at the vibrant vine winery, Visit any two vineyards by bike and taste their own unique wine

OR

Hike Paul's Tomb there, and Back

Whitehorse, Yukon

Destination #2

For the second pitstop, racers will take a plane from Kelowna B.C, to Whitehorse, Yukon. Whitehorse is the capital of Yukon, but most people know it as the town of the gold rush. As the staple of Yukon, Whitehorse has a population of 21,732 people which is 61% of Yukons entire population! Built in 33km squared, it is a very small city compared to southern Canada.

Gold Panning

Racers must travel by car to the Yukon River. There, in the shallow rushing water can you pan for gold. Teams must fill a vile with gold before getting there next clue

Roadblock

Racers may learn how to properly plant 2 different types of trees

OR

Memorize 4 different artifacts from the MacBride Museum

Detour

Lunenburg, Nova Scotia

Destination #3

For the racers last and final destination, they will stop at the small city/large town of Lunenburg. Built off of fishing, Lunenburg houses 47,126 people with many diverse communities within. Ever look at a Canadian dime? Well the boat on it is called the bluenose and it was docked in Lunenburg! With 2,909 people per square km in the town, it is similar to larger cities all over Canada like Calgary and Vancouver.

Properly making a Lobster Roll

Roadblock

Team members must analyze the lobster roll, cook, and prepare it properly to restaurant standards. Once they have properly constructed this delicacy, they will get their next clue.

Catching a Fish from the Atlantic Ocean
