HOW DOES THE ROLE OF DESIGN ENGINEER FIT INTO YOUR CAREER PATHWAY?

- I have been in the engineering design field for the past eight years.
- Most recently engineered data centers for large companies.
- Design Engineering allows me to apply my own design and solve problems that lead to great improvements
- Enjoy seeing my own work from concept to completion.
Throughout my career I have always been deeply involved and intrigued in the engineering design process. Engineering design is an intrinsic part of my lifestyle.
I have held numerous multifaceted engineering design positions over the years. With the variety I have been involved in, it has strengthened my adaptability and underscored my confidence in learning new mechanical engineering methodologies.
Design engineering is my passion and I want to continue to grow my knowledge in this career pathway. The sky seems unlimited with Collins Aerospace.

ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
Recently, I have constructed a 3D printer from the hundreds of parts to a fully functioning machine. Getting involved with 3D printing has only furthered my knowledge in additive manufacturing. Not only am I able to engineer the product in CAD but I am also able to bring it to life with my printer.

ORGANIZATION
In the engineering field ORGANIZATION is key. I have been in charge of many multi-layer CAD library's where I had to implement standards to insure that there was consistency throughout our work being produced.
ATTENTION TO DETAIL
- Recognized for my attention to detail in previous projects, I was selected as lead engineer on a national project.
- 60+ sites across the United states.
- Surveyed, identified and engineered existing systems to new standards.
