Questions:

Detail 1

What was one of the signs they noticed about their friend?

What did he do in order to let go of those thoughts or feelings?

How did that one change help him? What difference did his friend see after he reached out for help?

spot the change:

I will need 4 volunteers. These 4 volunteers will go outside to change one thing or a couple of things whether it is turning your pocket inside out, taking off your glasses, or even just tucking in your shirt. The volunteers will then come into the classroom and we will determine what they changed and see if the classroom notices the changes that were made.

Activity one:

Added questions:

Detail 1

a. Turn to your group: How would you notice the difference in yourself or

your friends?

b. Sometimes the changes are not that visible or we don’t feel safe sharing. So

often when someone asks us how we are doing, we say “…fine” when we really might be meaning, I am feeling depressed, sad, alone, hurt, confused, unloved, misunderstood, insignificant, broken, hopeless.

c. Ask: If you are worried for a friend or yourself, who can you turn to? Can you

name three trusted adults that you could go to if you or your friend needed

help?
