McDonalds Slogans

First Slogan

The first ever slogan for McDonalds was look for the golden arches. In 1953, this is when the chain started to take the chance to gain an advantage immediately. The reason this was the first slogan because, people in this time were too busy looking for Sputnik or Chuck Berry's at this time.

Second Slogan

As McDonalds expanded in the late 1950's and early 1960's, they kept their hamburger price fixed at just 15 cents. The meaning behind the slogan was to say that the burger cost 15 cents but still taste really good

Third Slogan

In the mid 1960's the famous McDonalds slogan was Let's Eat Out. The meaning of the slogan was that it was normal for couples to go on dates to McDonalds in the mid 1960's and not to be frowned upon like in 2018.

Forth Slogan

This slogan was posted on a newspaper ad and it says McDonalds is your moms kitchen but only twice the deep fryers and none of the Jackson Browne radio stations. The meaning of this slogan is that it is better than your moms kitchen were there is only food that you don't like so you need to go to McDonalds. To get the food you like.

The Fifth Slogan

The 70s ushered in one of the more famous slogans in McDonalds history. Advertising Age chose "You deserve a break today" as the fifth-best campaign of the century. The meaning of this slogan is for you to take break and enjoys some McDonalds.

Sixth Slogan

The sixth slogan in the mid 1970's is get down with something good. The meaning of this slogan is that you should be eating McDonalds when your at a dance, disco and so on. But this slogan also means that you can get a good lunch and relax and enjoy a good meal with your friends.

Seventh Slogan

The slogan was created in the mid 1970's was two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, on a sesame seed bun. This slogan meant that McDonalds had a burger with two all-beef paddies, the burger nowadays is called the BigMac

Eighth Slogan

The eighth slogan was mac tonight, this was a way to get people to get a big mac after a late night at work. This slogan was in a slew of ads in the 1980's, this slogan also made an appearance in the drive thru signs so everyone knew about it.

Ninth Slogan

In the late 1990's McDonalds came out with the slogan Did someone say McDonald's.

Tenth slogan

This was a mainstay slogan in the early 2000's. This slogan was found everywhere and was well knowen, that even the newsman Anderson Cooper pounced on the story.

Eleventh Slogan

In early 2000's McDonald created a slogan which is used still today, which is I'm loving it. The slogan was even used in song written by Pharrell and sung by one Justin Timberlake.
