Space

In 2016, I graduated from the University of Montevallo with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work. I worked at Chilton County DHR as a foster care caseworker for almost 5 years before going to the State Office and working as an Adoption Subsidy Program Specialist. I decided I needed a change and accepted a job as a 1st grade auxillary teacher at Brent Elementary. Over the summer, I was offered a position as the 2nd and 3rd grade Resource Special Education Teacher. I am loving every minute of it. I am so excited about obtaining my Master's Degree in K-6 Collaborative Special Education.

My name is Katie Whitman. I live in Bibb County, AL. I am married to Josh,my husband of 2 years. I have a 5 year old little boy named Fowler and an 8 year old stepson named Walker. We also have 3 Australian Shepherds Ollie, Oakley and Callie. All seven of us recently moved from Chilton County to Bibb County after we sold our house and most of our belongings. We bought a camper and are staying on family land where we are preparing to build our dream home. We love spending time with extended family and friends. We also enjoy spending time out doors and traveling. We are taking our first trip to Disney World later this month!!
