History

History

Silver is one of the first five metals discovered by humans. Silver objects have been found in Greece and Turkey as early as 3000 BC. It is even mentioned in the book of Genesis in the Bible. The ancient people even learned how to refine it. Silver really exploded on Earth when Europeans landed on the New World in 1492. Spanish conquerors started mining and found silver and gained wealth. Later on silver came to be very handy when it came to new advances and technology.
