- U need somthing that is easy to isolate
- Sodium vapor lamps is monochromatic
with ~590nm wavelength (pure Laser like)
- DichroicBeamSplitter to let full color go
but only reflect 589 nm wavelength away
- 2 Recording setup 1 Full color & 1 MASK
- In Mary Poppins (1964) color film
- They did perfect matte no spills
even to translucent stuff & SALTs
- Not even modern Green screen can
do such a clean job (manual at best )
- It was never lost just cumbersome
- Mary Poppins 64 & The Birds 63
- IN current time there are few options
- US20060033824A1 4 channel cam
- Color cam+ Monochrome both must
be gen locked synced or motion BLUR
- Background must have only 589 nm
- Spill between Bg & subject must be 0
- It was just not worth the hassel & in
digial era most cam not have Genlock

- This tech is great for low cost but cam
is weaklink genlock & Monochrom sys
- If Someone needs it desperately then
it is good tool other than that its HUM
- custom LED or Sodium Vapor lamps
only for spectral purity & beam filter
