Math Analysis
Block: 5
The purpose of this project is to understand how being in different parts of the world with different conditions concerning weather will affect the average highest temperature across the various months. The data collected from each city investigated (Stanton, Raleigh, and Hofn) are all different because of their location in the world.
Cities Investigated:
Stanton, Virginia
Raleigh, North Carolina
Hofn, Iceland

Phase Shift: 12 pi + 12.54
The best time of year to travel to Raleigh, North Carolina is May, with the highest average temperature being 79 degrees Fahrenheit. This is a nice warm temperature that can allow people to enjoy their trip without being too cold or too hot.
Analysis:
Amplitude: 9.5
Period: 12 pi
Phase shift: 12 pi + 12.54
The best time of year to travel to Hofn, Iceland is July as the average highest temperature is 55 degrees Fahrenheit. The entire year at Hofn is cold, so a temperature of 55 degrees would allow the tourist the warmest trip possible. This could also lighten the amount of layers one would have to wear on the trip to stay warm, making packing a suitcase a little bit easier.
