Who they really are?
1. a type of rock music that often has words expressing ideas about death or the end of the world
2. someone who likes goth music and wears black clothes and white make-up
History:
- originated in England in the late seventies and early eighties
- started as one component of the punk rock scene
- not completly known who coined the term goth, but became popularized by John Stickne
- in 1980s gothic rock became its own subgenre within post-punk
Fashion:
- dark clothes, often black, but red, gray, sea green, and dark purple can be its alternatives
- commonly dye their hair black
- dark makeup
- oxidized silver jewelry
- corsets and leather
- in quite big degree depends on on the local culture, era and the area person lives in
