This degree prepares students for entry-level employment in the field of Agriculture Technology and Irrigation through the study of agriculture equipment maintenance and repair, basic equipment construction and fabrication, including layout, finish and welding of metal agriculture structures. Students will acquire skills in uses of tools and equipment necessary for modern farming operations.
Agriculture Careers
The Animal Science Division of Agriculture prides itself on teaching students through hands experience allowing students to handle cattle, sheep, pigs, and horses.
The Animal Science Division stresses quality teaching/ learning through formal classroom lecture/discussion methods as well as plenty of hands-on “learn-by-doing” in well-equipped laboratory facilities.
Dairy Science students will develop skills through the study of dairy nutrition, reproduction, breeding and selection of quality cattle, and computer applications in dairy production.
Student will acquire skills and knowledge necessary for reediness to assist in the management of modern dairy operations.
The equine unit prides itself on teaching students through hands on experience giving students the opportunity to learn about basic horse knowledge, colt breaking, and reproduction.
The equine unit provides a hands-on learn by doing oppurtunity in well-equipped laboratory facilities that includes an A.I. lab and ultrasound equipment.
This area of study prepares students for entry-level employment in the field of Ornamental Horticulture. Studies include plant health, plant identification, and sales, and marketing.
Students will acquire skills in propagation, culture management practices, and sales of ornamental plants in a nursery setting.
This certificate prepares students for entry-level employment and further study in the field of crop production.
Students completing courses offered in this area of study will have a foundation in the fields of irrigation, weed control, plant diseases and pests, fertilizers, cultivation of crops.
Students acquire skills in crop production in order to maximize crop yield & profits.

Landscape architects are involved in storm water management, environmental restoration, and recreational areas among other things. If students enjoy working with and in the natural environment, this could be a great path.
Students can practice their architectural skills in other areas such as, construction, landscape design, and other design practices. All work experience is valuable.
Graphic Design
The Graphic Design area of study prepares students for entry-level employment and/or potential further study in the field of Graphic Design.
Students completing a degree or certificate in this area will have a foundation for the field of graphic design.
Students will study graphic design, art, and computers. Sucessful students will gain knowledge, and abilities in graphic design, web page design, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
