Attack
A shark attack is an attack on a human by a shark. Every year, around 80 unprovoked attacks are reported worldwide.[1] Despite their relative rarity, many people fear shark attacks after occasional serial attacks, such as the Jersey Shore shark attacks of 1916, and horror fiction and films such as the Jaws series. Out of more than 489 shark species, only three are responsible for a double-digit number of fatal, unprovoked attacks on humans: the great white, tiger, and bull.[2] The oceanic white tip has probably killed many more castaways, but these are not recorded in the statistics.[3

A woman in China had a lucky escape after she tripped and fell into an open shark tank during feeding time.
She was caught on camera as she plunged into the water through an opening in the floor. It appears that a cover had been removed to feed the creatures.
After she fell into the water two lemon sharks immediately begin circling her.
But security guards and bystanders who witnessed the incident quickly pulled her out of the water before they could strike.
Two children have been bitten while swimming in waters off New York state's Fire Island in what are thought to be the state’s first shark attacks for 70 years.

A shark which forced an evacuation of panicked tourists from a packed Mallorcan beach has died after it was dragged it out of the sea.
The 10ft blue shark was filmed swimming in the shallows at Cala Domingos, a popular sandy beach on the island’s east coast, on Thursday afternoon as bathers, including children, watched on.
